Ligue 1: Paris FC beat Rennes 4-3 with stoppage-time penalty; Marseille win 5-2 at Angers

Paris FC 4 Rennes 3: Maxime Lopez twice put Paris FC ahead in the first half, and each time Esteban Lepaul equalised from the penalty spot, AFP reported. Lassine Sinayoko scored with an overhead kick 14 minutes from time, but a handball by Paris FC substitute Otávio gave Lepaul a third penalty, which he scored. Sinayoko then scored a stoppage-time penalty, awarded after a VAR review for a shirt pull by Valentin Rongier, according to AFP.

Eurosport said it was Paris FC’s first league win over Rennes since the 1980-81 season, and that Lepaul now leads the Ligue 1 scoring chart with seven goals in seven games. Paris FC are among five teams level on 14 points at the top; Rennes dropped to fifth, one point behind, AFP reported.

Angers 2 Marseille 5: Angers led through Lilian Raolisoa in the 14th minute before Himad Abdelli and Nouhoum Kamissoko scored for Marseille before half-time, according to AFP and RFI. Amine Gouiri made it 3-1 on the hour, scoring the rebound after Angers goalkeeper Anthony Lopes saved his penalty. Amine El Ouazzani scored a penalty for Angers in the 75th minute, and Amine Harit and Igor Paixão scored for Marseille in the 83rd and 85th minutes, RFI reported. AFP said it was Marseille’s third win in seven league games. RFI said Marseille moved up to eighth with nine points.

Le Havre 1 Auxerre 3: Danny Namaso scored twice for Auxerre, in the 40th and 61st minutes, Eurosport reported. Rayan Fofana pulled one back for Le Havre in the 66th minute before Romain Faivre scored Auxerre’s third in the 80th minute. Le Havre are bottom without a win, with two draws and five defeats; Auxerre are three points clear of the relegation play-off place, according to Eurosport.
