Juventus drew 2-2 with Rennes at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Thursday and remain unbeaten in the Europa League league phase, the club said.

Goals

  • 5’ Zeki Çelik scored from Nick Woltemade’s pass, according to Juventus’ match report.
  • 15’ Musa Al-Taamari equalised with a deflected shot.
  • 43’ Boulaye Dia put Rennes ahead from the penalty spot, AFP’s results list shows.
  • 66’ Woltemade scored a penalty after Nico González’s header struck a defender’s arm, Juventus said. Woltemade told Sky Sport Italia he had asked Kolo Muani if he could take it.

Jhon Lucumí scored late for Juventus, but the goal was ruled out for offside by VAR, the club said.

The referee did well to manage the match, slightly less so regarding the decision made in that incident. Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport

Spalletti also said: “I’m still not sleeping at night because we’re missing things.” He said Çelik felt tightness and it would be “tough for him to recover” for Saturday’s Serie A game against Lecce, Gazzetta reported. The match came after Juventus lost 3-0 at home to Lazio in Serie A.
