Juventus 0-3 Lazio: Lazio move level on points with Serie A leaders Inter
Oliver Provstgaard, Gustav Isaksen and substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored in Turin. AFP said Lazio's 19 points are the club's highest total after seven Serie A games.
Lazio beat Juventus 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday 18 October, according to AFP, ANSA and Flashscore.
Juventus striker Randal Kolo Muani had a goal ruled out for offside in the first half, Flashscore reported. Lazio took the lead after 37 minutes, when centre-back Oliver Provstgaard headed in a cross from Mattia Zaccagni, AFP and Flashscore said. Gustav Isaksen made it 2-0 midway through the second half with a low left-footed shot, and substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru ran clear from his own half to score the third late on, according to AFP and AS.
Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti watched from the stands while serving a one-match touchline ban after his red card against Cagliari, Flashscore reported. ANSA reported that Juventus supporters whistled the team.
AFP said Lazio’s 19 points are their highest total after seven league games, passing the 17 points of Sven-Göran Eriksson’s team at the start of the 1999-2000 season. Flashscore said Gennaro Gattuso is the first Lazio coach to win six of his first seven Serie A matches, and that it was Lazio’s first league win at Juventus since 2017.
What it means
Lazio are level on 19 points with defending champions Inter, who lead on goal difference, AFP reported. Juventus, who have won one of their last five league games, are eighth, according to Flashscore.
