Gonçalo Ramos scored one penalty and had another saved, and Adrien Rabiot and Mario Gila also scored at San Siro. Milan are fourth, four points off the top.
AC Milan beat Atalanta 3-2 in Serie A at San Siro on Sunday 18 October, according to both clubs, AFP and ANSA.
Christian Pulisic had a goal ruled out for offside in the 13th minute, Milan reported. In the 24th minute, Milan were awarded a penalty after a VAR review for handball by Relja Obrić, who had come on for the injured Sead Kolašinac. AFP said it was the 20-year-old’s first touch in Serie A. Gonçalo Ramos scored the penalty, and Adrien Rabiot made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute from Moreira’s pass, the club said.
Early in the second half, Milan were given a second penalty after another VAR review, for handball by Thomas Kristensen. Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi saved Ramos’s kick, but Mario Gila headed in from the resulting corner to make it 3-0, according to both clubs and ANSA.
Substitute Gianluca Gaetano scored for Atalanta in the 66th minute, and Nikola Krstović turned in Raoul Bellanova’s cut-back for a second goal about 10 minutes later. Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan then blocked a shot from Davide Zappacosta, both clubs reported.
“These are three important points in our season,” Rabiot said, according to AFP. Milan coach Ruben Amorim said of Rabiot: “He’s a very important player for us.”
