Lens 2-1 Paris FC: Thauvin and Hazard turn it around in the only Ligue 1 game on Saturday

Lens came from behind to beat Paris FC 2-1 at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday 24 October, AFP reported. It was the only Ligue 1 game played on Saturday.

How the goals came

Luca Koleosho gave Paris FC the lead two minutes into first-half stoppage time. He finished from the edge of the box after a counter-attack and a one-two with Lassine Sinayoko, AFP said.

Early in the second half, Lens defender Jean-Clair Todibo was sent off for a challenge on Ilan Kebbal. A VAR review then found Kebbal had been offside earlier in the move, and the red card was withdrawn.

Florian Thauvin equalised just after the hour with a left-footed shot from about 22 yards. Substitute Thorgan Hazard scored the winner in the 83rd minute after combining with Thauvin.

Paris FC missed the chance to go top alone. They stay level on 14 points with five other clubs at the top, and Lens are sixth, a point behind, AFP reported.

Other weekend games were moved because police were deployed to cover protests across France, AFP said. Toulouse v Troyes was put back to Sunday 25 October, and Paris Saint-Germain v Lyon to Monday 26 October. Sunday’s games also include Monaco v Lille, Marseille v Le Havre and Rennes v Strasbourg.
