Alajbegovic and Boga score in the second half as Juventus beat 10-man Napoli 2-0
Kerim Alajbegovic scored his first Serie A goal after 70 minutes and substitute Jérémie Boga added a second after Luca Marianucci's red card. Napoli suffered their fourth league defeat of the season, according to PA.
Juventus beat Napoli 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday 1 November (kick-off 7:45pm GMT), in Serie A matchday 10, the club reported.
The first half was goalless. Juventus goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario saved an early header from Lorenzo Lucca, and Juan Cabal headed a Douglas Luiz corner against the post in the 27th minute, Juventus said.
Kerim Alajbegovic opened the scoring in the 70th minute with a shot from outside the area after a pass from Edon Zhegrova. PA, in a report carried by ESPN, said it was the Bosnian teenager’s first Serie A goal and that Juventus fans had jeered their team earlier in the second half.
Five minutes later Napoli defender Luca Marianucci was sent off for a second yellow card, for a foul on Cabal. Substitute Jérémie Boga, who had replaced Alajbegovic, cut in from the left and curled in a second goal in the 87th minute.
Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri was suspended and Landucci was listed in charge, Sky TG24 reported. PA said it was Napoli’s fourth league defeat of the season and that Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus had won only one of their previous four league games.
Juventus have 17 points and Napoli 14, according to ESPN’s table.
