Apple Music, the NFL and Roc Nation announced that JAY-Z will perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles area on Sunday 14 February 2027.
JAY-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, in the Los Angeles area, on Sunday 14 February 2027, Apple Music, the NFL and Roc Nation announced on Monday 26 October (US time).
The show will air in the US on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, and on mobile devices through NFL+, with Spanish-language coverage on ESPN Deportes and a separate presentation on Univision, according to the announcement. Roc Nation, the entertainment company JAY-Z founded, will executive produce the telecast, and Hamish Hamilton will direct.
“Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage,” JAY-Z said in the statement, referring to the 30th anniversary this year of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that when the league first reached its agreement with Roc Nation, his one request was “that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him.”
The announcement lists JAY-Z as a 25-time Grammy winner, a four-time Emmy winner and a 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. It said his 30th-anniversary concerts this year included three sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium. The previous halftime show, headlined by Bad Bunny at Super Bowl LX, won seven Emmys, according to the NFL.
