U2 announce 2027 UK and European stadium dates for 'The Greatest Show On Earth' tour, opening in Stockholm
U2 will play 12 stadium shows in Sweden, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and Italy from 26 April to 6 July 2027, with Wolf Alice as support. The band has also added dates in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires and says North American dates will follow in the coming weeks.
Irish band U2 have announced the UK and European leg of their 2027 world tour, “Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth”, with 12 stadium concerts between 26 April and 6 July 2027, the band said on its website on Thursday 29 October.
The leg opens with two nights at Stockholm’s Strawberry Arena and includes two shows at the Stade de France in Paris, Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz, two nights at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, two at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Berlin’s Olympiastadion and two closing shows at Milan’s San Siro. Dates in Spain will be announced soon, the band said. British band Wolf Alice will open the European shows.
The tour begins in Latin America in February, with Beck as support. U2 said the first shows there sold out and that it had added a fourth date in Mexico City on 2 March, a fourth in São Paulo on 16 March and a third in Buenos Aires on 27 March. North American dates for 2027 are to be announced “in the coming weeks”, and the band said the tour would continue into 2028 and end in Ireland.
Tickets for the UK and European shows go first to U2.com subscribers from 10am local time on Monday 2 November, followed by a Visa cardholder presale on 4 November and an artist presale on 5 November. General sale starts on Friday 6 November at 10am local time.
According to Pollstar, the band’s last run of shows, 40 concerts at the Sphere in Las Vegas in 2023 and 2024, grossed about $244.5 million from 662,532 tickets.
