Tucker Carlson claims Trump administration may be days from nuclear strike on Iran, citing unnamed "informed observer"

Carlson wrote that the target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where he said Israeli intelligence claims enrichment has restarted. He wrote that no conventional US weapon can penetrate the site and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing for a nuclear strike. He also wrote that “close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend,” which he put at 7 November.

The post does not name a US official. It quotes one unnamed person, described as “an informed observer,” who says “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” and refers to unnamed “close observers.” It provides no documents. Truth Network Daily has not independently verified any part of the claim.

No response from the White House or the Department of War to the post had been found as of 03:18 GMT on 2 November. Trump told Newsmax on 16 October that he would not use nuclear weapons against Iran: “I wouldn’t use nuclear. We don’t have to.” On 31 October he said the United States could deal with Pickaxe Mountain “in ten minutes,” and Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the president had not decided on fresh strikes. Both statements came before Carlson’s post.

The post drew about 3.7 million views within about 90 minutes, and many accounts on X shared it. Some users criticised it for lacking named sources and pointed to Trump’s October remarks. Others said the option of striking the site had been discussed for months. Some posts described Carlson as citing a “senior U.S. official.” That description matches a separate claim he made on 28 August, when he said nuclear strikes had been discussed in Pentagon slide decks. The Daily Caller News Foundation said then that an anonymous senior US official was his source. It does not match the 2 November post.
