The second season of the action series The Terminal List, starring Chris Pratt, premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday 21 October, with all eight episodes released at once in more than 240 countries and territories, Prime Video said.
Prime Video announced the date in May at Amazon’s upfront presentation in New York. The series is based on the novels of former Navy SEAL Jack Carr, and Pratt plays Navy SEAL Commander James Reece.
According to Prime Video, the new season is drawn from Carr’s second novel, True Believer, and follows Reece across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Europe as he uncovers a conspiracy that “reaches from Moscow to Langley”. The studio described the season as a “globe-trotting espionage thriller”.
Returning cast members include Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim and Luke Hemsworth, with Gabriel Luna joining the cast, Prime Video said. The season also features Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez and Arnold Vosloo.
The series is executive produced by Pratt, Antoine Fuqua, showrunner David DiGilio and Carr, and is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media, according to the announcement. Prime Video said former special operations personnel work on the show as writers, actors, technical advisers and directors.
