Youssouf Fofana set up both goals at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Sevilla are sixth in La Liga on 17 points; Osasuna are 12th on 11.
Sevilla beat Osasuna 2-0 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Monday 26 October in the last game of La Liga’s 10th matchday, BBC Sport and Europa Press reported. The attendance was 38,523, according to BBC Sport and EFE. EFE said it was Sevilla’s first win after three league games without one.
How the goals came
Isaac Romero scored in the 24th minute after a back-heel lay-off from Youssouf Fofana, EFE reported. It was Romero’s third goal of the season, in his first game back after a one-match suspension, according to EFE.
Juan Iglesias hit the post in the second half, EFE said. Félix Correia made it 2-0 in the 82nd minute after a counter-attack, again from a Fofana pass, BBC Sport’s match data shows. Sevilla had 17 shots to Osasuna’s 10, with seven on target to two; Osasuna had 55% of possession, BBC Sport’s figures show.
Sevilla coach Luis García Plaza told Movistar+ that Osasuna “were better than us for 20 minutes” at the start, OKDIARIO reported. It was Osasuna’s second game since Jagoba Arrasate returned as coach, after a 2-0 win over Racing Santander, EFE said.
