Film studio A24 released a new trailer for Slayground, the next film from director Jeremy Saulnier, on 20 October. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on 29 January 2027, according to The A.V. Club and ComingSoon.net.

The A.V. Club reported that the trailer followed an earlier teaser and a countdown to 20 October on a promotional website.

According to the official synopsis quoted by ComingSoon.net, the film follows “scare-actor ‘Metal Mike’ Graves”, who “wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there” and tries to uncover what happened as a statewide manhunt closes in.

Cory Michael Smith plays the lead role. The cast also includes Sophie Wilde, Chase Sui Wonders, Imogen Poots, James Badge Dale, Stephen Root, Matty Matheson and Young Mazino, The A.V. Club reported.

Saulnier’s previous films include Green Room (2015) and Rebel Ridge (2024). The A.V. Club noted that Slayground marks his return to horror, the genre of his 2007 debut Murder Party.

A24 posted the video on its official YouTube channel on 20 October under the title “Slayground | Official Teaser HD”.
