Three of the largest US technology companies are scheduled to report quarterly results this week, according to announcements from the companies.

  • Microsoft will publish results for the first quarter of its 2027 financial year after the market close on Wednesday 28 October, with a webcast of its earnings call at 2:30pm Pacific time (9:30pm GMT), the company said.
  • Alphabet, Google’s parent company, holds its third-quarter earnings call on Wednesday 28 October at 1:30pm Pacific time (8:30pm GMT), according to its investor relations website.
  • Amazon will hold its third-quarter results call on Thursday 29 October at 2pm Pacific time (9pm GMT), the company said.

Apple is not reporting this week: it has scheduled its fiscal fourth-quarter results call for Monday 2 November, according to its investor relations website.

About a third of S&P 500 companies are due to report during the week, Reuters reported, adding that the capital spending forecasts of Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon, which all run large cloud and AI data centre businesses, would be closely watched on Wall Street. Meta Platforms’ results last week were followed by the chip index’s biggest one-day fall since June, according to Reuters.

The results come in the same week as the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision on Wednesday.
