Halliburton reports third-quarter net income of $417 million, flat revenue of $5.7 billion
The US oilfield services company said revenue was unchanged from the second quarter and gave an early outlook for 2027.
Halliburton reported net income of US$417 million, or 50 US cents a diluted share, for the third quarter of 2026, the company said on Tuesday 20 October. That compared with US$534 million, or 64 cents a share, in the second quarter.
Excluding impairments, other charges and tax adjustments, adjusted net income was US$501 million, or 60 cents a share, the company said. Yahoo Finance data showed the average analyst estimate at 58 cents.
Revenue was US$5.7 billion, unchanged from the second quarter. The operating margin was 10.9%, and the adjusted operating margin was 12.8%. Halliburton reported cash flow from operations of US$368 million and said it repurchased about US$250 million of shares in the quarter.
“Our revenue exceeded our expectations, and we took important steps towards improving our margins,” chairman, president and chief executive Jeff Miller said in the release.
Miller said the company was “another three months into one of the largest energy disruptions in history”. He said Halliburton’s early outlook for 2027 was mid-single-digit revenue growth and operating margins of about 15%, an assumption based on a flat North American market.
