Bitcoin was trading at about $80,670 as of 17:54 GMT on Thursday 29 October, down 0.7% since midnight GMT, according to Yahoo Finance data. CoinDesk reported that it had dipped to about $79,600 earlier in the day before rising back above $81,000 in US morning trading.

US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds took in $137 million on Wednesday, a third straight day of inflows, according to Farside Investors data cited by CoinDesk.

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token was up about 17% over 24 hours at about $94 as of 17:56 GMT, according to CoinGecko data, after Intercontinental Exchange, which owns the New York Stock Exchange, announced a deal with Trade[XYZ], a platform that runs perpetual futures markets on Hyperliquid.

Strategy, the largest corporate holder of bitcoin, was due to report third-quarter results after the US market close on Thursday. It holds 848,517 bitcoin bought at an average price of $75,446, according to a 26 October filing cited by CoinDesk.
