US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net inflows of US$526.6 million on Monday 19 October, New York time, the largest daily total in nearly a month, CoinDesk reported, citing SoSoValue data.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) took in US$665.2 million, more than the combined total, according to the data. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded outflows of US$83.6 million and Grayscale’s GBTC US$54.9 million, while the remaining funds had no net flows.

CoinDesk said the bitcoin funds last drew more on 22 September, when they added US$714.7 million. Monday’s inflow more than offset US$228.5 million of withdrawals the previous week, though the funds remained about US$90.5 million in net outflows for October, according to CoinDesk’s calculations.

US spot ether ETFs recorded net outflows of US$103.3 million, their fourth consecutive session of withdrawals, with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for US$95.4 million, CoinDesk reported.

Separately, crypto.news reported that on-chain analytics firm Glassnode said in a 19 October assessment that selling behind bitcoin’s early-October decline had slowed, but that spot and ETF demand had not been strong enough to drive a recovery.
